Hockey for Heroes

The Hockey for Heroes team recently appointed Rob to be the head of their medical services. Hockey for Heroes is an amazing bunch of people who are both mentally and physically tough enough to play 3 to 4 games a day for many days on end. The last tour was 33 games in 10 days and the three peaks – just for good measure!
All year tough games are organised and the team respond with the mental strength needed.

“Being their chiropractor is important to me because I make sure that they are functioning as well as possible and in that way we hope to reduce injury and keep them all going to the end.”

This year, 2017, Hockey for Heroes took on another challenge; to carry an injured Royal Marine on a stretcher for 20 miles a day and then play three games every evening for 10 days. This was hugely successful and so far we have raised almost £70,000 for Help for Heroes.

This year Rob is working with the H4H ladies’ team who are doing 8 days of military-style challenges and 28 games of hockey, starting in Glasgow and ending in Canterbury. See the video.
